Asilomar is located along the along the shoreline of California’s famed Monterey Peninsula.
Sophia loved the beach (and horses). She said she could have done this more realistically but wanted a more “enchanted feeling” to come through.
She painted golden manes to give a fairy tale feeling to this lovely painting.
