Trouble Trouble

Verse/Chorus

I don’t want you to go
But I can’t let you stay
I like the way you look at me
Now my butterflies won’t go away
(softly) …don’t go….. don’t stay …. please go…. stay

I don’t want you to go
But you really can’t stay
‘Cause when I lean into kiss you baby
You know you won’t turn away
(softly) If you stay…you need to know know know
              that I’m..

Trouble trouble I’m falling into trouble with you… (with you)
Like Stevie Ray I’m bound for double trouble … (with you)
If you stay you know what we’re ….g o n n a … do
And you’ll be falling falling falling …. into trouble trouble with me too

Verse/Chorus

I really need you to go now
Before things go too far
It’s not too late to stop the start
Before it all gets too hard
(softly) But the heart wants what the heart wants…

Trouble trouble I’m falling into trouble with you… (with you)
Like Stevie Ray I’m bound for double trouble … (with you)
If you stay you know what we’re ….g o n n a … do
And you’ll be falling falling falling …. into trouble trouble with me too

Instrumental Bridge / Guitar Solo

Chorus

Trouble trouble I’m falling into trouble with you… (with you)
Trouble trouble I’m falling into trouble with you… (with you)
Trouble trouble I’m falling into trouble with you… (with you)
Like Stevie Ray I’m bound for double trouble …(with you)
If you stay you know what we’re ….g o n n a … do
And you’ll be falling falling falling …. into trouble trouble with me too

Trouble Trouble Triva

Rain, cover album art - Lahle WolfeI began writing this song in December of 2016.  This is a work in progress song so I am rendering as I go to make sure it is pulling together.  I am recording this to include an a new album, “Rain,” to be released in October.  This album will be a much needed, calmer, reply to my angsty album, “Emotional State,” where I vented life up and down my fretboard.  “Rain” is more reflective and about adapting to change and embracing a new, changed life.

What This Song Is About/Inspiration

Duh.  Forbidden love.  Fickle hearts.  Desire.

This was the first test track with a rhythm and lead guitar (me on both).  I played a clean guitar through a clean amp into my Scarlett 2i2.  I used Audacity for the audio, but have not added effects yet (I did add a spot of reverb, but that’s it so far.)  I want to get all tracks done, then vocals, and then will play with sounds to make it more homogeneous.  Of course, like those of us who struggle with lyrics, I will probably tweak those more (why I always do vocals last.)
